The Assistant Controller of Corrections, Yunana Musa, in charge of Billiri Medium Security Custodial Centre (MSCC), received Dr. Abdallah Usman Gadon Kaya, a renowned Islamic scholar from Kano State, paid a visit to the facility, bringing with him words of wisdom and essential commodities for the inmates.
During his visit, the scholar advocate for cordial humanity, preached the inmates within the yard, emphasizing the importance of becoming law-abiding citizens and refraining from committing crimes upon their release.
Earlier in his remarks, the Assistant Controller of Corrections expressed his gratitude to the scholar for taking the time to visit the facility.
Mr Yunana Musa further revealed plans to establish skills acquisition centers within the custodial center, aimed at keeping the inmates productively engaged during their incarceration.
The ACC heartily thanked the scholar for donating essential items, including food materials, seasonings, detergents, soaps, and clothing, to the inmates. This gesture of kindness demonstrates the scholar’s commitment to the welfare and rehabilitation of the inmates.
