The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced that the final computer-based examination for all successful Superintendent Cadre applicants will hold on Tuesday, 14 October, across the six geopolitical zones of the country.

According to a statement posted on the NCS recruitment update portal, the examination will be conducted simultaneously in designated states and centres based on candidatesโ€™ states of origin.

The service advised shortlisted applicants to log in with their National Identification Number (NIN) at https://updates.customs.gov.ng](https://updates.customs.gov.ng) to access their examination details, including assigned centres. Candidates are required to print their coloured examination slips for presentation at the venue.

Candidates are required to report strictly to their assigned examination centres as indicated on their slips. Any deviation from this directive may lead to disqualification.

The Service added that further information and detailed instructions regarding the examination process will be communicated exclusively through the Recruitment Update Portal.

This final examination stage, the NCS noted, is strictly for successful applicants of the Superintendent Cadre.

About Nigeria Customs Service Recruitment

The NCS began its 2025 recruitment process in December 2024 after receiving federal approval to hire 3,927 officers into the Superintendent, Inspectorate, and Customs Assistant cadres. According to the NCS, the recruitment aims to strengthen trade facilitation and support Nigeriaโ€™s economic recovery through improved border management and revenue collection.

The application portal opened on December 27, 2024, and closed on January 2, 2025, with thousands of Nigerians applying across the three cadres. The process is divided into multiple stages, starting with document verification and online applications, followed by a mandatory pre-test.

Applicants under the Superintendent Cadre have already taken the Pre-Test stage and online recruitment test. Due to technical challenges caused by heavy traffic on the portal during the initial exercise, shortlisted candidates were grouped into four batches:A, B, C, and D.
