We, Kano State Sharia Commission, are writing to address the serious allegations you made against the Gwauron Dutse Correctional Institution, claiming that some inmates are being molested within the facility.
As a self-acclaimed Deputy Mosque Leader of the institution, we took your allegations seriously and conducted a thorough investigation.
Investigation Findings
Our investigation involved inviting the imams of the institution, as you claimed to be their follower, and the spokesperson of the institution to answer our questions. We also formed a special team of entourage directly to the correctional facility to further investigate the allegations. However, with reference to the subject matter, we did not find any evidence to support your claims.
Further Investigation
Furthermore, We took additional steps to verify your claims, including checking the house registration of your alleged stay and the day you claimed to have left on April 29. Unfortunately, we could not find any record of your name or stay in the institution.
We also visited the cell where you mentioned and spoke with the head of the house, who denied knowing you at all despite living in the same area.
