The new Kano Pillars football club general manager, Ahmed Musa at a press conference on Thursday, unveiled an ambitious roadmap aimed at restoring the club’s past glory and aligning it with global football standards.
Addressing journalists with confidence and clarity, Musa acknowledged the challenges ahead but maintained that with unity and support from all stakeholders, the club’s transformation is well within reach.
“Our mission is clear—to bring back the glory days of Sai Masu Gida. It won’t be easy, but with collective support and commitment, we can achieve it,” Musa said.
He extended gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for entrusting him with the leadership of the club. “We are honored by this appointment and, by God’s grace, we will not disappoint the Governor or the good people of Kano State,” he affirmed.
Musa underscored that player welfare would be at the heart of the club’s strategy, noting that players are the true ambassadors of Kano Pillars. “Without their well-being and discipline, there can be no success. We will ensure they are supported, motivated, and held to the highest standards on and off the pitch,” he added.
Recognizing the critical role of the coaching staff, Musa pledged full technical support to the head coach. “As General Manager, I manage the office. On the field, the coach is our leader, and we will empower him fully to succeed,” he noted.
In line with efforts to modernize the club, Musa announced that innovative strategies and new ideas would be introduced. He assured fans that their voices will continue to be heard, describing them as the lifeblood of the team. “Your passion keeps us going, and we will carry you along every step of the way,” he said.
Musa called on investors, sponsors, and partners to support the club’s growth, assuring that the management remains open and ready for collaboration. He also encouraged the Kano Pillars family to stay united, focused, and prayerful as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
In conclusion, Musa expressed appreciation to members of the media for their presence despite the short notice, ending his speech with a powerful message: “Long live Kano Pillars Football Club, Long live Kano State, and Long live Nigeria.”
The press briefing signaled a new era of determination and strategic vision for Kano Pillars FC, with Musa at the helm working to return the club to its rightful place in Nigerian football.
