The Kano State Government has recognized and rewarded excellence in the civil service as ten dedicated and hardworking workers were carefully selected from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and presented with meritorious awards alongside cash prizes.
The prestigious dinner award, held at the Kano State Government House , was organized through a collaborative effort between the Office of the Head of Service and the Kano State Labour Unions.
The event served as a platform to celebrate commitment, diligence, and exceptional service delivery among civil servants in the state.
Representing His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Umar Faruk Ibrahim the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) commended the awardees for their outstanding contributions to the growth and efficiency of the state civil service. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to motivating workers and promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and professionalism.
The event was attended by top government functionaries, senior political appointees, labour leaders, and well-wishers, all of whom applauded the initiative as a step in the right direction toward strengthening public service performance.
Among the distinguished award recipients was Salisu Mustapha, Permanent Secretary, Establishment Office in the Office of the Head of Service, who was recognized for his unwavering dedication, professionalism, and readiness in the discharge of his duties.
In her remarks, the Kano State Head of Service emphasized the importance of hard work, integrity, and commitment, noting that the awards were designed to inspire civil servants to redouble their efforts in service to the state.
The Kano State Government reaffirmed its resolve to continue supporting and rewarding excellence within the civil service, ensuring improved productivity and effective service delivery for the benefit of all citizens.
