The Office of the Head of Civil Service, Kano State, has continued its efforts to improve service delivery and staff welfare through its weekly Joint Directorate Meeting, which brought together Directors from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
A paper titled “The Impact and Remedies of Security Threats for Citizens and Public Servants” was presented by Dr Sani Lawan Gwarzo, Zonal Director, Gwarzo Zonal Education Directorate, Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSMB).
In his presentation, he highlighted the growing security challenges and outlined practical measures to mitigate risks, emphasizing awareness, vigilance, and community cooperation as key tools for ensuring safety.
Dr Gwarzo explained that disruption of critical infrastructure, lost of public trust and security are among the security challenges affecting the public service.
In her remarks, the Head of Civil Service, Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, called on participants to make effective use of the knowledge gained during the session. She urged civil servants to be security conscious by being mindful of their environment and the people they interact with daily.
Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota also expressed appreciation to the presenter and special guests for their valuable contributions, noting that such engagements are essential for strengthening the capacity of the civil service and promoting a safer working environment.
The Office of the Head of Civil Service reiterated its commitment to continuous dialogue, training, and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and security awareness of civil servants across the state.
