The Kano State head of service has officially declared open the third round of a three-day capacity building workshop on transformational leadership anti-corruption in workplace for secondary school principals across the state.
Declaring the workshop open, the Head of Service, Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, stated that the initiative is aimed at strengthening integrity, transparency, and accountability within the education sector. She explained that the workshop is carefully designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge, tools, and guidance to enable them identify ethical standards, uphold the truth, and strictly adhere to the rules and regulations guiding the discharge of their responsibilities.
Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota emphasized the importance of discipline and ethical conduct in school administration, noting that principals play a critical role in shaping the moral standards of students and ensuring effective service delivery within the education system.
The 3-Day Capacity Building Workshop on Transformational leadership and Anti-Corruption in the workplace for Secondary School Principals Open led by Mai-Mota on behalf of Kano Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
In attendance at the opening ceremony were the Executive Secretary, Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board, Hon. Rabiu Sale Gwarzo; the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education; as well as directors and other key stakeholders in the education sector.
The workshop is expected to enhance the capacity of school leaders in promoting anti-corruption practices and fostering a culture of accountability in secondary schools across Kano State.
