Alhaji Umar Farouq Ibrahim gave the advice while taking over the rein of his office from Hajiya Bikisu Shehu Msimota, the Permanent Secretary (AGS) who had been running the Cabinet Office in acting capacity.
The occasion which was held low-key and attended by all the permanent secretaries, directors and schedule officers also doubled as a familiarization meeting.
The SSG maintained that the staff should see themselves as mirrors through which the entire workforce in the state get directions with a view to assisting His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf in fulfilling all his electoral promises.
According to him, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has a lot of developmental plans, and if the workforce redouble their efforts things will move faster.
He further stated that the state government would re-introduce welfare programmes for the staff of the Cabinet Office.
He then called on the people of the state to accord the present administrator full support and cooperation.
Speaking on behal of the staff, the Permanent Secretary, REPA Directorate, Alhaji Umar Muhammad Jalo assured of their support to the SSG and expressed gratitude to Allah for this well-deserved appointment.
