In line with its continuous efforts to safeguard public health and enhance environmental sanitation across Kano State, the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB), under the leadership of its Managing Director, Dr. Muhammad S. Khalil, on Friday night conducted a mosquito fumigation exercise in Darmanawa quarters, Tarauni Local Government Area.
The exercise is part of a broader public health initiative championed by the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, aimed at curbing the spread of mosquito borne diseases and promoting a cleaner, healthier environment for residents of the state.
Speaking during the exercise, Dr. Khalil reaffirmed REMASAB’s commitment to extending the fumigation campaign to other local Government areas, noting that the initiative is crucial in preventing diseases caused by mosquitoes and other harmful insects.
He further urged residents to complement the Board’s efforts by maintaining clean surroundings and promptly informing REMASAB whenever there is a need for refuse evacuation or community sanitation activities.
Dr. Khalil also expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, for his visionary leadership and unwavering support to REMASAB in the collective drive towards achieving a cleaner and healthier Kano State.
