Operation Kano Tsaf-Tsaf: Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) Strengthens Enforcement of Sanitation Laws Across Kano Metropolis

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance environmental cleanliness in Kano State, the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) has carried out a major enforcement exercise under its special campaign, “Operation Kano Tsaf-Tsaf.”

Under the directive of the Managing Director, Dr. Muhammad S. Khalil, the Board, in collaboration with the Mobile Sanitation Court, patrolled key roads within the metropolis, including:

1. Civic Centre
2. Independence Road
3. Eastern Bypass
4. Ibo Road
5. Katsina Road
6. Ahmadu Bello Way
7. Club Road
8. France Road

The exercise focused on individuals and businesses who failed to comply with environmental sanitation regulations, despite prior warnings and notices. Offenders were sanctioned in accordance with the law by the Mobile Court.

This initiative aligns with the vision of the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, to ensure a cleaner, healthier environment and eradicate filth across all parts of the state.

REMASAB remains fully committed to this mandate and to making Kano a model for environmental hygiene in Nigeria.
