1. POLICE RESCUE TWO KIDNAP VICTIMS, ARREST THREE SUSPECTS IN ONDO
The Ondo State Police Command, in collaboration with the Amotekun Corps and Agbe-Koya, rescued two people who were allegedly kidnapped and arrested three suspects believed to be involved in the incident.
The operation followed intelligence received by security operatives that some suspected kidnappers had emerged from their hideout to collect ransom.
The police said N1.5 million, suspected to be ransom money, was recovered along with a motorcycle and food items. The rescued victims were freed unhurt.
2. POLICE INTENSIFY CRACKDOWN ON CRIMINALS ACROSS NIGERIA
The Nigeria Police Force has continued operations aimed at arresting suspected criminals and rescuing kidnapped victims across different parts of the country.
In recent operational reports, the police said its personnel arrested hundreds of suspects and rescued kidnapped victims through various operations.
The Force said intelligence gathering, modern technology and collaboration among security agencies remain important tools in the fight against crime.
3. POLICE, SECURITY EXPERTS TO DISCUSS 2027 ELECTION SECURITY
The Nigeria Police Force is preparing to hold a conference involving senior police officers and other stakeholders on security matters.
Among the key issues expected to be discussed is how to strengthen security and maintain peace ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Election security remains important, as the Nigeria Police Force is one of the major agencies responsible for maintaining law and order during electoral activities.
4. NIGERIAN ARMY STRENGTHENS SECURITY OPERATIONS ACROSS THE COUNTRY

In a recent operation, troops of Operation Whirl Stroke rescued seven people allegedly abducted by kidnappers in Benue State.

The Army stressed the importance of relying on information confirmed by the relevant authorities to prevent fear, panic and confusion within communities.
6. NDLEA DISMANTLES METH LAB, ARRESTS MEXICAN NATIONAL
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has announced the arrest of a Mexican national, Arturo Carrera Loaiza, whom the agency described as a suspected member of an international drug trafficking network.
He was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while allegedly attempting to leave Nigeria.
The agency also announced the dismantling of a large-scale methamphetamine production facility and the recovery of chemicals and equipment suspected to have been used in the production of illicit drugs.
7. NDLEA SEIZES OVER 2.4 TONNES OF ILLICIT DRUGS IN DELTA
The Delta State Command of the NDLEA said it seized a total of 2.446497 tonnes of various illicit drugs, estimated to be worth about N2 billion.
The agency also reported that courts secured convictions against 248 persons in drug-related cases during the period under review.
8. EFCC URGES LAWYERS TO COMPLY WITH FINANCIAL REGULATIONS
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has reiterated the importance of complying with financial laws and regulations in professional activities and financial transactions.
The commission also urged professionals, including lawyers, to ensure that their financial dealings comply with Nigerian laws.
9. POWER MINISTRY SEEKS EFCC COLLABORATION AGAINST ELECTRICITY THEFT
The Ministry of Power has called for stronger collaboration with the EFCC in the fight against electricity theft and the vandalism of power generation and distribution infrastructure.
The issue concerns the protection of public assets and the reduction of losses caused by electricity theft and damage to power infrastructure.
Stronger collaboration between the agencies could assist in identifying those involved in such activities and bringing suspects before the courts.
10. EFCC: RECOVERED ASSETS MUST BE PROPERLY MANAGED
EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, has stressed the need to ensure that assets recovered by the commission are managed in accordance with the law.
The issue covers the custody, management and administration of assets recovered during investigations into economic and financial crimes.
The commission has emphasised the importance of transparency and compliance with established procedures in the management of recovered assets.
11. ICPC STRENGTHENS FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission continues to implement measures aimed at promoting transparency, accountability and compliance within government institutions.
The commission is also working with relevant government agencies to reduce opportunities for corruption and strengthen systems of accountable governance.
