GENERAL COUNCIL RESOLUTIONS
The Council deliberated on several critical issues:
1. Imflamatory Remarks by Former Governor Ganduje and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin
The Council expressed deep concern over the recent comments, apparently posing security threat, especially a public declaration to recruit 12,000 individuals under a proposed religious militia organization named Khairul Nas.
Council noted that:
The statements were inflammatory, reckless, and capable of undermining the security efforts of both the State Government and the Federal Government.
Within 48 hours of the utterances, suspected bandits attacked border communities—raising serious suspicions.
Council Resolved:
To appreciate Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Federal Government and security agencies for their continuous support to address the security challenges
To call for the immediate investigation and arrest of the former Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for attempting to create an illegal and unlawful militia group
To caution public figures against making divisive and inciting statements.
To reassure citizens of government’s unwavering commitment to peace and security.
2. Housing Allocation in Kwankwasiyya and Amana Cities
Council appreciated allottees who complied with directives to occupy their houses and reaffirmed that the earlier 31st December deadline, remains in effect.
