Founder MAAUN University Congratulates VC FUDMA on Conferment of Traditional Title

The Founder and President, MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has congratulated the Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Dutsinma (FUDMA), Katsina State, Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi on his conferment of the traditional title of Hakimi by the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji (Dr) Nasiru Ado Bayero.

Similarly , Prof. Gwarzo has felicitated Prof. Bichi on the occasion of his 55th birthday.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement by Prof. Gwarzo and issued to newsmen in Kano on Tuesday,

He said the conferement of the traditional title on Prof. Bichi by the Bichi Emirate Council, was well deserved in view of his contributions to the development of the Emirate, Kano State and Nigeria at large especially in the areas of education.

“Prof. Bichi deserves the honour as an honest and trustworthy person, who is
committed to promoting education and human development.

“On behalf of Maryam Abacha American Universities, I wish to felicitate you on the conferement of the title of Hakimi.

“May the Almighty Allah give you the wisdom and strength to continue to lead by example”, Prof. Gwarzo said.

Prof. Bichi is a scholar par excellence, who worked for many years in Bayero University, Kano, before being appointed as the Vice Chancellor of FUDMA.

The conferment of the title by the Emir followed a recommendation by the Emirate Council.

The turbaning ceremony is expected to be held on Saturday, 2nd March 2024 at the Emir’s Palace in Bichi town.
