Former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has expressed his deep appreciation for the reinstatement of the 16th Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi.
El-Rufai described the event as the ” One of the most important event in my life” for him personally, highlighting the significance of the decision.
The former governor made this statement on Wednesday during his appearance at the Arewa Tech Fest, an event that gathered political and technology leaders to discuss advancements in Northern Nigeria.
The festival was attended by key figures, including the Governors of Kano, Katsina, and Zamfara states.

Sanusi was dethroned in 2020 under controversial circumstances. This move has been met with mixed reactions across the country, but for El-Rufai, it marks a moment of vindication and renewal for Northern Nigeria’s traditional leadership.
