Parents and affected graduates of the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Kano State, have appealed to the university management to explain the prolonged delay in the mobilisation of some graduates for the mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
The affected students, who reportedly graduated from the university in September 2025, are yet to be mobilised for the NYSC programme, despite the passage of about one year since their graduation.
The delay has reportedly become a source of concern among the affected graduates and their parents, who are seeking clarification on the circumstances surrounding the situation.
According to the concerned parents, the delay could have implications for the graduates’ plans to commence their national service, pursue further studies or begin their professional careers.
They therefore called on the university management to clarify whether the delay is connected to issues relating to academic records, clearance, the submission of graduates’ names to the NYSC or any other administrative matter.
The parents also appealed to the management to provide the affected graduates with clear information on the status of their mobilisation and, where possible, indicate when they are likely to be included in an NYSC mobilisation exercise.
They expressed confidence that the university management would look into the matter with the urgency it deserves, stressing that timely NYSC mobilisation is important to the affected graduates as they seek to begin the next stage of their lives.
The concerned parents and graduates are therefore urging the university to address the issue and provide clarification to all those affected.
