ABLE AFRICA Unveils New Vision, Launches Inclusion Drive Across Africa.
Kano – Nigeria ABLE AFRICA lead a fresh push to unlock millions of untapped ralents through digital skills, empowering African disability community to thrive in the digital age.
The New Initiative Targets Digital Skills, Inclusion for Millions Living With Disabilities Across Africa
Across Africa, millions of people possess remarkable talents, dreams and visions but continue to face barriers that limit their ability to fully participate in the digital economy.
In response to this challenge, ABLE AFRICA is championing a new movement aimed at creating opportunities and empowering people with disabilities through digital skills, training and inclusive development.
According to the founder, Auwal Sabiu Shuaib, the initiative focused on building an environment where disability is not seen as a limitation, but as a pathway to discovering new possibilities. Through targeted digital-skills training and capacity-building programmes “ABLE AFRICA seeks to equip people with disabilities with practical knowledge that can enhance their employability, entrepreneurship and participation in the rapidly evolving digital economy”.
According to the initiative, access to technology and relevant skills can play a transformative role in the lives of people living with disabilities, particularly young people who often encounter barriers to education, employment and economic opportunities. ABLE AFRICA is therefore seeking to bridge the digital divide by creating platforms where participants can learn, develop their talents and turn their abilities into sustainable opportunities.
Beyond training, the initiative is advocating for an enabling and inclusive environment where people with disabilities can contribute meaningfully to society. It emphasises the importance of accessibility, equal opportunities and supportive systems that allow individuals to pursue their ambitions without being held back by physical, social or technological barriers.
ABLE AFRICA believes that Africa’s development will be stronger when everyone, regardless of disability, is given the opportunity to contribute with aims to help transform untapped potential into productive ventures, careers and solutions capable of contributing to communities across the continent.
The broader vision is to build an Africa where disability does not define what a person can achieve. Through collaboration, training and empowerment, ABLE AFRICA is calling on governments, organisations, technology partners and communities to support a more inclusive digital future—one in which talent is recognised, possibilities are created and millions of people with disabilities are empowered to turn their dreams into reality.

Auwal Shuaib, the founder of ÀBLE AFRICA, is also a physically challenged.
