The Kano State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to completing key infrastructure projects across the state, announcing that the ongoing construction of the three-layer bridge at Dan’Agundi along BUK Road will be delivered before the end of the month.
The government also gave a similar assurance regarding the Tal’udu flyover, expressing confidence that work on both projects is progressing steadily and will meet the set deadline.
Commissioner for Works, Engr. Marwan Ahmed, disclosed this while speaking with journalists following an inspection tour of project sites by a Presidential Media Team in Kano.
During the visit, Engr. Ahmed, alongside the Commissioner for Information, Comrade Abdullahi Waiya, and the Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Dahiru Hashim, assessed the level of work on several ongoing projects, including the Wuju Wuju road construction.
The Commissioner explained that the seven-kilometre Wuju Wuju road project, initiated by the state government, has recorded significant progress with one kilometre already completed. He noted that the state has seek federal government support to facilitate the timely completion of the remaining stretch where the Federal government provided over forty billion naira as an ecological fund intervention.
The inspection team also visited key healthcare facilities undergoing renovation, including Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital and Asiya Bayero Paediatric Hospital, as part of the state government’s broader efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure.
The visits form part of ongoing assessments aimed at ensuring quality delivery and timely completion of projects under the current administration.
