The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has appointed Bashir Hayatu Abubakar, popularly known as Gentile, as its Special Adviser on Public Affairs.
In an appointment letter dated August 20, 2025, and obtained by SolaceBase, the Forum commended Abubakar’s vast experience, strategic vision, and commitment to regional development, describing him as an ideal choice for the role.
According to the letter of appointment, as Special Adviser on Public Affairs, Abubakar will serve as a primary liaison between the Forum and key stakeholders, including government agencies, community leaders, and civil society organizations. His responsibilities will include building and maintaining strategic partnerships, representing the Forum at meetings and public events, coordinating communication strategies, and advising the ACF leadership on emerging issues and opportunities within the region.
He will report directly to the ACF Secretary-General while maintaining close collaboration with the Forum’s Publicity Secretary.
