The Sani Abacha Youth Centre has appointed Aliyu Rumfa as its new substantive Director.
This development follows the passing of the centre’s former Executive Director, Mal. Abubakar Isah.
Rumfa’s appointment was confirmed after a board of directors meeting on October 21, 2024. With over two decades of experience in public service and youth advocacy, Rumfa brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.
Born on May 10, 1964, in Hadejia, Jigawa State, Rumfa holds a postgraduate diploma in development studies and an advanced diploma in public administration from Bayero University, Kano.
As Deputy Director, Rumfa played a pivotal role in shaping policies, building capacity, and representing the centre internationally. His dedication to youth development and community service has earned him recognition within the organization.
Sabdat Omar, the Centre’s Administration Officer, reiterated that Rumfa’s appointment was made diligently and in due course. “We are confident that Rumfa’s leadership will propel the centre to greater heights,” Sabdat stated.
Rumfa’s appointment marks a new era for the Sani Abacha Youth Centre, and his wealth of experience is expected to inspire and empower young people in Kano State and beyond.
