Saudi Arabian authorities have formally announced the final Umrah visa timelines for the 2026 season, setting non-negotiable deadlines for visa issuance, entry, and exit, as preparations intensify ahead of the Hajj period.
According to the announcement, 19 March 2026 has been fixed as the final date for the issuance of Umrah visas, after which no new applications will be processed. In addition, 2 April 2026 has been designated as the last permissible date for Umrah pilgrims to enter the Kingdom.
The authorities further stipulated that 18 April 2026 is the absolute deadline for the departure of all Umrah pilgrims, stressing that no extensions will be granted under any circumstances.
According to officials, the directive is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader operational framework to ensure a smooth transition from the Umrah season to full-scale Hajj preparations, including crowd management, security coordination, and infrastructure optimisation in Makkah and Madinah.
Prospective Umrah pilgrims and licensed tour operators have been urged to align their travel plans strictly with the stated timelines to avoid penalties, overstays, or travel disruptions.
Stakeholders are also advised to expedite documentation and logistics, as late compliance will not be accommodated.
The announcement effectively closes the window for Umrah travel ahead of Hajj 2026, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s zero-tolerance stance on visa overstays and late arrivals as part of its tightened pilgrimage management policy.
