The Executive Secretary Kano State Hospitals Management Board Dr Mansur Mudi Nagoda have extended his gratitude to His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kano State Alh Abba Kabir Yusuf approving the distribution of free 4yards each of materials for all health workers, serving in the state owned facilities.
Speaking at the official handing over of the materials to the directors of the board heading the various departments in the health sector, Dr Nagoda added that this gesture from his Excellency is another stepping stone to bring sanity into the system.
He explained that, the white colors are for the nurses, doctors, pharmacists, dental technicians, lab technicians, community health extension workers(CHEW)as well as midwifes. Also blue and maroon colors were allocated for nurses. Health attendants and staff of maintenance department will get brown color while the caterers will receive off white color.
“Distribution will begin on Monday. We have given each health worker the grace of 1 month to get their uniforms ready. We will not condone any form of improper dressing and attitude. Every health worker must be dressed in complete uniform as sanctions will be applied to defaulters. We want all our staff to have an identity so as to fish out the miscreants amongst us”.
Dr Nagoda further thanked His Excellency for giving the health sector most important consideration. ” The level of cooperation you have rendered to us at this critical time is exceptional, we give kudos to you”.
The Executive Secretary then extended a string warning to all that on no account should any staff sell the materials given to them as it is not meant for vending.
