The Kano State Government has directed all its employees to update their bio-data and personal records on the Kano Integrated Personal and Payroll Information System (KIPPS) platform.
The directive was contained in a circular issued by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of Kano State through the Human Resource Development and Service Improvement Directorate, dated September 4, 2026.
According to the circular, the exercise is aimed at ensuring effective and efficient human resource management by providing accurate, robust and timely data on workers across the state public service.
The government directed all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to facilitate their staff in accessing the KIPPS platform and updating their records online.
All employees are expected to complete the exercise on or before September 30, 2026
The circular, signed by the Permanent Secretary, HR&SI, Sabi’u Shuaibu Muhammad, urged all relevant authorities to give the exercise wide publicity and ensure that staff comply with the directive within the stipulated deadline.
