The Tinubu Maliya Shonikan Organisation (TMS) has petitioned the APC Kano State leadership over alleged victimisation and intimidation of its members and political appointees in Kabo Local Government following their participation in the organisation’s recent launching and inauguration.
In the petition, signed by the TMS Coordinator, Nura Abdullahi Bagwai Esq., the organisation alleged that the Kabo Local Government Chairman, Hon. Lawan Najume Kabo, removed the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Abba Salisu Mewake Garo, and other political appointees over their participation in the TMS event held on August 9, 2026, at Amani Event Centre, Kano.
TMS said the event was a peaceful political mobilisation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda, and was attended by several senior party officials and government representatives.
The organisation also raised concerns over an alleged attempt to intimidate other participants, citing the Vice Chairman of Kabo Local Government, Hon. Kabiru Durun, and APC Kabo LG Chairman, Hon. Hashimu Sarki, who reportedly made a media statements distancing themselves from TMS after attending the event.
TMS urged the APC leadership to investigate the alleged actions, determine whether they are consistent with the APC Constitution and principles of internal democracy, and protect members from victimisation for participating in lawful pro-APC mobilisation.
The petition was also copied to the APC National Chairman and the National Vice Chairman, North-West, with TMS appealing for urgent intervention in the interest of party unity and electoral success.
