The NDLEA Kano State Strategic Command congratulates Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd), CON, OFR, on his reappointment for a second term as Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
On behalf of the officers, men, neighbours and well-wishers of the Command, the Commander, ACGN A.I. Ahmad, described the reappointment as well deserved and a wise decision by the President. He said the renewed mandate is a testament to the Chairman’s unwavering commitment and his transformative leadership, particularly in improving welfare, logistics and other benefits that have strengthened the morale and operational capacity of personnel across the agency.
“We congratulate Chairman Brig-Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa on this reappointment,” ACGN Ahmad said. “Under his leadership the Agency has recorded unprecedented achievements. His focus on personnel welfare and modernization of logistics has directly contributed to more effective field operations and better outcomes in the fight against drug trafficking and substance abuse.”
Reiterating the Command’s firm stance against drug crime, ACGN Ahmad called on those involved in drug trafficking and related criminality in Kano State to cease their activities, repent and reintegrate into lawful livelihoods. “Anyone who continues to traffic in or peddle illicit substances will be subject to investigation, arrest and prosecution in accordance with the law,” he said.
ACGN Ahmad further assured the Chairman and the public of the NDLEA Kano Strategic Command’s continued commitment to curbing the menace of substance abuse and sustaining collaborative efforts with communities, security partners and stakeholders to make Kano safer and drug-free.
