The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kano Strategic Command, under the leadership of ACGN AI Ahmad, has successfully apprehended a notorious drug dealer, Faisal Yusuf Umar, aged 23, following a meticulous surveillance operation that was initiated based on community complaints regarding his illicit activities.
On July 18, 2025, officers from the NDLEA Kano Strategic Command attached to Fagge Area Command executed a strategic operation at the residence of Faisal Yusuf Umar located in Dandali, Fagge Local Government Area. During the operation, a significant quantity of controlled substances was recovered, including 40 bottles (4KG) of Benylin with Codeine, alongside a substantial amount of cash totaling 204,000 Naira.
The arrest of Faisal underscores the NDLEA’s unwavering commitment to combating drug trafficking and abuse in the state. This operation is part of a broader strategy to dismantle the networks of drug dealers operating in Kano State. The NDLEA is focused on identifying and apprehending the main dealers who pose a serious threat to the health and safety of our communities.
