The Kutumbawa Dynasty has categorically denied the appointment of an “Emir of North America” as announced on social media by the office of Kachallan Kutumbawa on June 21, 2024.
The rebuttal in a statement signed by Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar Rimin Kira, Mai Unguwar Kutumbawa, Kano Emirate reaffirms the Dynasty’s commitment to tradition and harmony in the Emirate.
Mai Unguwar Kutumbawa maintained harmonious relationship with the succeeding Sullubawa Dynasty since 1807.
Kutumbawa has issued a statement rebuking the appointment of an ‘Emir of North America’ as announced on social media by the office of Kachallan Kutumbawa on June 21, 2024.
The Dynasty reiterated their commitment to peace and tradition and claims to have been unaware of the development and did not authorize the appointment.
The statement emphasizes that nobody was authorized to convey the appointment on their behalf, therefore the appointment is deemed an aberration and a breach of traditional protocol.
On this note, the Kutumbawa Dynasty disassociates itself from the title and appointment and extended their warm apology to the Emir of Kano and his Council for any embarrassment caused.
