The Kano State Ministry of Justice, under the leadership of the Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Abdulkarim Kabiru Maude, SAN, acting under the directive of His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf, has secured a major legal breakthrough in the assault case involving Rabi Hamza Danladi Nasidi.
The case, State v. Kabiru Aminu, which arose from a violent incident at Danladi Nasidi Housing Estate, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State, was today heard at High Court No. 10, Bompai Road, Kano, before Justice Aisha Yau.
The accused, Kabiru Aminu, is standing trial on charges of Criminal Trespass, Armed Robbery, and Causing Hurt.
It will be recalled that the accused was earlier granted bail by Magistrate Court No. 36, a development that generated widespread public concern following the seriousness of the allegations.
During todayโs proceedings, the prosecution, led by the state counsel, Basiru Kabiru Aliyu, formally applied for the revocation of the earlier bail, on the grounds of the gravity of the offences and in the interest of justice.
The Honourable Court granted the application, revoked the bail, and ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody pending the continuation of trial.
This development reflects the firm commitment of the present administration of His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf to strengthen the justice system and ensure accountability under the rule of law.
The Kano State Ministry of Justice reassures the general public that the case will be diligently prosecuted to its logical conclusion, and that justice will be pursued without fear or favour, in line with the core principles of fairness, transparency, and protection of citizensโ rights.
